I believe in the mission of CCHCI because I trust in its continued focus on reducing health disparities by concentrating on preventative programs and staff development. I am passionate about providing quality care and strive to go above and beyond to meet the needs of the community we serve.
Raised on a small “island” in Maine, I was drawn to Community Health at a young age. During high school and college, I was employed at a local Community Health Center where I worked my way through all administrative positions, including training as a medical assistant. After graduating from the University of Maine, I found that I had an interest in the administrative side of healthcare and immediately enrolled in a graduate program to further my education. I have found my passion in Community Health Administration where I am able to focus efforts on reducing health disparities by increasing access to care by staff development, increased cultural competency, service area expansion and grant writing.
