Every year, we provide group and one-on-one training sessions to nurses, health aides, and staff from local school districts to ensure that our patients have the safest experience possible in the school setting. Below, you will find a link to all of our educational handouts.

At Chiricahua, we help children and families with type 1 diabetes. We offer close follow-ups, support groups, and community education.
Clinical Care:
Regular visits with your primary care provider and extra support from our behavioral health providers or dietitians improve diabetes health. Additionally, these visits supplement regular check-ups with endocrinologists. Since pediatric endocrinologists are only in Tucson, AZ, we connect patients locally through telemedicine (Banner UMC) or in person at our Sierra Vista office (TMC One).
Support Group:
Our support group is open to anyone with type 1 diabetes in Cochise County. We meet every quarter in Douglas, Sierra Vista, or Bisbee for social events. Furthermore, each October, we join the JDRF Walk for a Cure in Tucson, AZ, as the "Chiricahua Chihuahuas."
