CCHCI is proud to be the largest provider of exceptional pediatric care in Cochise County. Utilizing standardized practices and team-based care, we strive to provide the highest quality, comprehensive preventive and curative care for children and adolescents regardless of the clinic that you choose. Please contact one of our pediatric locations to schedule an appointment. Examples of the services and programs offered include:

  • Preventative care and Well Visits (Ages 0 - 21 years)
  • Immunizations
  • Sick care
  • Same day appointments on weekends and holidays at most locations
  • Developmental Screening
  • Chronic Disease management
  • Visiting Specialist Care

We have special programs to provide excellent healthcare services for children in our community. Here are some of the programs we offer:

  1. Care for Children with Special Health Care Needs: If a family has a child with special health needs, we have a team of experts who work together to provide the best care possible. We coordinate our services to make sure these children receive the attention and support they need.

  2. Virtual Newborn Classes: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have created online classes for new parents. These classes cover topics such as feeding your newborn, dealing with fussiness, and keeping your family healthy. The classes are held every Wednesday from 8 am to 9 am, and anyone can join, even if they are not our patients.

  3. Reach Out & Read (Children's Book Program): We believe that reading books at an early age helps children improve their language skills and get ready for school. That's why we provide age-appropriate books during well visits for children between six months and six years old.

  4. Type 1 Diabetes Support Group: Type 1 diabetes requires constant management and can have a big impact on a person's health. Led by a pediatrician who also has Type 1 diabetes, we offer medical care and a support group for patients and their families called the "Chiricahua Chihuahuas".

  5. Mobile Medical Services at High Schools: Many teenagers don't seek medical, dental, or mental health care when they need it. To make it easier for them, we have a Mobile Medical Clinic that visits high schools. Our highly-trained staff provides care directly at the schools. You can find the hours and locations on our Mobile Medical Clinic page.

The mission of CCHCI aligns with my own goal of ensuring that all children in my community have access to healthcare and the ability to form habits that will lead to a full, healthy life! Every child deserves a chance, and CCHCI makes sure every child gets one. The part of our mission that speaks to me most is the statement about “building healthy communities”. True health and wellness reaches far beyond the physical body. Strong communities support healthy children! As a healthcare provider I believe that it is my duty to be an engaged member of my community and use my voice to advocate for my patients. I am excited to be a part of a team that strives to bring high-quality, comprehensive care to everyone in Cochise County regardless of their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability to pay.

My interest in medicine first started when I was volunteering for a clinic that was strictly for those without insurance and mostly Spanish speaking patients. Since that time, I have felt deeply compelled to serve this population and so CCHCI fits that mission perfectly. Medicine is so complex and the socioeconomic difficulties of so many adds to this complexity and I am happy to help in this capacity while also working on the border, which has also been a goal of mine since starting my path in medicine.

Chiricahua’s mission aligns with my values and goals as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Public Health advocate. Providing healthcare for all is essential. All children deserve affordable, competent care. The Chiricahua philosophy of combining individual and population health leads to true accessibility and is both inspiring and necessary. Chiricahua has found innovative ways to reach local communities and eliminate barriers to healthcare. I work at Chiricahua, because as we care for individuals, we focus on prevention, guidance and community level concerns. Here, we understand that children and adolescents have lives outside the exam room, and those concerns must also be addressed to provide the best possible care.
