CCHCI is proud to be the largest provider of exceptional pediatric care in Cochise County. Utilizing standardized practices and team-based care, we strive to provide the highest quality, comprehensive preventive and curative care for children and adolescents regardless of the clinic that you choose. Please contact one of our pediatric locations to schedule an appointment. Examples of the services and programs offered include:

  • Preventative care and Well Visits (Ages 0 - 21 years)
  • Immunizations
  • Sick care
  • Same day appointments on weekends and holidays at most locations
  • Developmental Screening
  • Chronic Disease management
  • Visiting Specialist Care

In addition to exceptional primary and preventative care services for our community's youth, we offer the following specialty programs:

  • Care for Children with Special Health Care Needs - A family who has a child with special health care needs requires a team to provide the best possible care to their child. Due to our team-based approach and our care coordination services, many families have chosen CCHCI Pediatrics for the care of their chronically ill child. A great deal of care and attention is provided not only to these families, but to the development of systems that make exceptional care possible.
  • Virtual Newborn Classes - In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our pediatric team has created virtual newborn classes for all new parents! These classes address topics like feeding your newborn, infant fussiness, family wellbeing, and answers your common medical questions. These classes are held every Wednesday, (Except the 5th week of the month) from 8 am - 9 am. The best part is, you do not need to be a Chiricahua patient to attend these classes. For more information, please click here to learn more information about this FREE service!
  • Reach Out & Read (Children's Book Program) - Early exposure to books has been shown to significantly improve language skills and school readiness. In order to promote early childhood literacy, we provide an age and language specific book at all well visits between the ages of six months and six years.
  • Type 1 Diabetes Support Group - Insulin dependent diabetes is a demanding, non-stop, moment-to-moment chronic disease that quickly take a toll on one’s physical and mental health. In an effort led by a pediatrician who also has Type 1 Diabetes, CCHCI offers not only excellent primary medical management, but also an active support group for patients and their families, the "Chiricahua Chihuahuas".
  • Mobile Medical Services at High Schools - Statistics show that adolescents are much less likely to seek preventive or curative medical, dental, or behavioral health care. Via a state-of-the-art Mobile Medical Clinic, we eliminate barriers to care by taking highly-trained care directly to them. Please visit our Mobile Medical Clinic page for the hours and locations.

Every child, regardless of family situation, deserves to have the tools to create a healthy life. Experiences in our childhood shape how we interact with others and how we view ourselves. I work for CCHCI so that I can provide my patient with some of the tools they need to have health - both medically and psycho-socially. Through our efforts today we can create a tomorrow where there is Health For All.

The mission of CCHCI aligns with my own goal of ensuring that all children in my community have access to healthcare and the ability to form habits that will lead to a full, healthy life! Every child deserves a chance, and CCHCI makes sure every child gets one. The part of our mission that speaks to me most is the statement about “building healthy communities”. True health and wellness reaches far beyond the physical body. Strong communities support healthy children! As a healthcare provider I believe that it is my duty to be an engaged member of my community and use my voice to advocate for my patients. I am excited to be a part of a team that strives to bring high-quality, comprehensive care to everyone in Cochise County regardless of their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability to pay.

My interest in medicine first started when I was volunteering for a clinic that was strictly for those without insurance and mostly Spanish speaking patients. Since that time, I have felt deeply compelled to serve this population and so CCHCI fits that mission perfectly. Medicine is so complex and the socioeconomic difficulties of so many adds to this complexity and I am happy to help in this capacity while also working on the border, which has also been a goal of mine since starting my path in medicine.

Chiricahua’s mission aligns with my values and goals as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Public Health advocate. Providing healthcare for all is essential. All children deserve affordable, competent care. The Chiricahua philosophy of combining individual and population health leads to true accessibility and is both inspiring and necessary. Chiricahua has found innovative ways to reach local communities and eliminate barriers to healthcare. I work at Chiricahua, because as we care for individuals, we focus on prevention, guidance and community level concerns. Here, we understand that children and adolescents have lives outside the exam room, and those concerns must also be addressed to provide the best possible care.

The mission of CCHCI is founded on the absolute certainly that all individuals are worthwhile and important, regardless of their ability to pay, their background, their beliefs, their identification, or their path. Healthcare for all means my purpose every day is to try to make each person's experience a little easier in whatever way I am able. This positive and nurturing effect is compounded because every person who works at CCHCI is invested in this same principle to build a healthcare system around a community so that we are only doing well when our community is doing well.
