Integrated Behavioral Health & Counseling

Counseling
We additionally offer individual professional counseling on a limited basis. Please call the Ginger Ryan Clinic, Bisbee Clinic, or the Sierra Vista Adult Clinic to learn more or to make an appointment. Conditions in which patients may desire assistance through counseling services include:

  • Lifestyle change
  • Anxiety & Nervousness
  • Difficulty Sleeping
  • Feelings of sadness & depression
  • Grief, coping and loss counseling
  • Family problems, including couple's counseling
  • Education in diet & exercise

Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) is a new, proven effective and efficient methodology in which trained behavioral health professionals work along side our medical providers to directly assist our patients to better manage their medical conditions. How it works is--at no cost to you--IBH staff work with your specific circumstances during or after your visit with your medical provider.  IBH staff complete a short assessment and provide practical yet proven suggestions for you to be on a road to improved health. Perhaps the best way to summarize Integrated Behavioral Health Program is that CCHCI is in the business of taking care of the "Whole Person" in a teamwork model, rather than the old model in which a doctor tries (impossibly so) to 'do it all'.

I do believe all persons deserve competent, ethical care. Chiricahua strives to achieve its mission and works to improve care, often in areas where access to care can be difficult. Working in the Douglas area, it is my hope I will contribute to needed services and to build resilience in families. I believe with the right support, anyone can achieve wellness, and good healthcare should be available to everyone. I believe mental and physical health work together, and good healthcare involves not just the physical aspect of care, but also the bio-psycho-social aspects of care.

I have lived in many communities as part of my family's commitment to the military and I see a need for behavioral health services in all of them. I want to do my part to ensure the patients in the communities I live are cared for and that, in turn, those communities are stronger and healthier.

I believe health care is a fundamental need.  The cons to health care jeopardize the economic stability of the country; we must become more quality driven.  I am proud to work for an organization that does not turn people away because of finances.

I was drawn to work for the CCHCI by the enthusiasm of the staff to provide good care for their patients and community overall. They don’t just talk about good care, they provide it, to all people, and treat every patient as a valued person, regardless of why and how they present.
