I believe in the mission of Chiricahua “Health for All” because all human beings are deserving of good health. I love that Chiricahua strives to provide the very best healthcare for every individual they serve.
Christine O’Toole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been practicing social work for over 12 years. Christine started her journey in behavioral health as a recreation therapist employed in a variety of settings including detox and rehabilitation, a clinical forensic state hospital and civil commitment corrections institutions. Eventually, Christine went on to complete her Master of Social Work and began working in schools. This experience provided her with an opportunity to engage with students in grades 6-12 presenting with an array of academic and social challenges. Over the past 3 years, Christine has shifted from the school setting to outpatient counseling. This experience has provided Christine with an opportunity to not only use the skills acquired in school with children, adolescents and their families, but also experience working with adults aged 18-70+.
Christine has focused her continued training on developing skills in trauma and trauma informed care in order to help those who’ve had adverse childhood experiences and traumatic experiences. Christine has completed training and become certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Christine believes that trauma in its many forms is a destabilizing force that can change the way one sees themselves and the world. She is passionate about working with individuals to assist in resolving these past hurts in order to restore a healthy sense of self and hope for the future.
Christine always hoped to move to sunny Arizona, so in August of 2022 she made the leap and moved to Sierra Vista. Christine lives with her two fur babies, Rosie and Marty. In her free time, Christine loves taking her dogs for walks, hiking, biking, reading and exploring the outdoors.
