I work with families who directly benefit from the work that CCHCI does every day. When they invited me to serve on the board I was excited to be a part of the vital community work that is being done here.
I was born and raised in Chihuahua Mexico as the second oldest of 8 siblings. At the age of 21 I moved to Willcox, Arizona with my family. We worked towards adapting to our new situation here and I quickly learned English and started working in the community. I have lived in Willcox for a little over 30 years now and have since raised two kids and established a career working for the Willcox Unified School District. I now work in the Migrant Education Program where I help families like mine get access to school supplies and medical care and CCHCI has been an integral part of helping me help others. I know I bring an important perspective to the Board at CCHCI and I am happy to work with my fellow members to help support our community.
