For the past 30 years of my serving as a counselor in various capacities, at diverse locations/ institutions and organizations, Chiricahua Community Health Centers is where, I believe that we can make, “Health for All” a reality for our community. “Health for all,” is about offering hope and healing to everyone who is willing to receive it, and I am proud to say that here at Chiricahua, we are believing, practicing, and putting all our effort towards that very goal. I have seen firsthand that there is a culture of compassion cultivating an awareness of genuine care, because this has been a longstanding cry of my heart for many years, to finally work in an environment where we can acknowledge and treat all our members in the community, as valuable human beings, worthy of life, health, and prosperity. It is an undeniable foundational principle based on scientific knowledge that confirms we are all humans connected in a magnificent way and integral parts in the success of our own existence.
Most of my educational background in counseling involved extensive supervision and research related training, both at UCLA Trauma Psychiatry School-Based Program for 5 years and CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL Outpatient Psychiatry Program for 2 years. Additional training was received through GREENPESHAH CLINICS, Center for Autism and Related Disorders and PACIFIC CLINICS Day treatment center and other various clinical programs. Extensive training acquired continued education courses have been completed in seminar formats and online courses to include child development, adult, parental, family, and couples counseling training.
