Cody Elmer PharmD is a Doctor of Pharmacy providing patient-centered pharmacy care at Chiricahua Health Centers. With a focus on ambulatory care and chronic disease management, he is dedicated to improving health outcomes for patients across Cochise County.
As a resident of a rural community in Cochise County, I have come to appreciate the people and the unique challenges of bringing healthcare to rural populations. My wife introduced me to Chiricahua through her experience with how well they live out “Health for All” and the impact they make in the community. I look forward to working with patients of all backgrounds and hope to make a positive difference in their lives.
Cody was born in Okinawa, Japan, and moved back to Arizona at a young age. He has lived throughout the state in both large cities and small rural communities, including Mesa, Thatcher, Joseph City, Tucson, and Benson.
He and his wife, Sarah, who is also a pharmacist at Chiricahua, are proud to call Southern Arizona home. With deep family roots in the region, Cody is committed to serving the community for years to come.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, and riding dirt bikes and side-by-sides.
Danielle Taylor RPH is a Registered Pharmacist providing patient-centered pharmacy care at Chiricahua Health Centers. With years of experience in retail pharmacy, she is dedicated to helping patients access the medications they need and supporting better health outcomes across Cochise County.
As healthcare providers, it is our duty to care for patients. However, financial barriers can prevent people from getting the care and medications they need. Chiricahua’s mission of “Health for All” helps people overcome these barriers through programs that support access to healthcare and medications for both prevention and treatment. I am excited to be part of the team at Chiricahua, where I can contribute to this mission.
Danielle was born and raised in a small town in rural western Kansas. She began her education at Kansas State University, completing her pre-pharmacy coursework before earning her pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy.
After graduation, she practiced retail pharmacy in Louisiana before relocating to Arizona. Danielle has since spent many years serving the Sierra Vista community, building strong relationships with patients and helping them navigate their medication needs.
Her background in rural healthcare and retail pharmacy has shaped her commitment to accessible, compassionate care.

Jamie Armenta is a Doctor of Pharmacy providing patient-centered pharmacy care at Chiricahua Health Centers. She is dedicated to helping patients access the medications they need and ensuring cost is not a barrier to care.
I am excited to be in an environment that allows Health for All and will go above and beyond to provide care. Chiricahua is providing healthcare services to patients who may have otherwise given up on receiving quality medical, dental, and pharmacy services. As part of the team, I help ensure that patients can get the medications they need and do not leave empty-handed because of cost.
Jamie was born in Pennsylvania and later discovered Arizona, where she chose to build her career and life. After completing pharmacy school in Virginia, she returned to the Southwest to enjoy and serve communities in the Grand Canyon State.
She is passionate about making healthcare more accessible and supporting patients in navigating their medication needs.
Sarah Elmer PharmD is a Doctor of Pharmacy providing patient-centered pharmacy care at Chiricahua Health Centers. With a strong connection to rural communities, she is passionate about improving access to affordable medications and supporting the health of patients across Cochise County.
Growing up in a rural community and now living in one as an adult, I value Chiricahua’s mission to provide “Health for All.” This mission means ensuring that everyone has access to affordable, quality, and compassionate healthcare, including those living in remote areas of Cochise County. I appreciate that Chiricahua actively reaches individuals who might not otherwise receive these essential services.
Sarah was born and raised in Springerville, Arizona, where she discovered her passion for pharmacy while working as a cashier at a local pharmacy. During that time, she also completed her associate degree while still in high school.
She later moved to Tucson to continue her education at the University of Arizona before being accepted into the College of Pharmacy.
After completing her pharmacy training, Sarah chose to return to a rural community setting, eventually settling in Cochise County. She was drawn to Chiricahua because of its commitment to community-focused care and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
Trevor Shumaker PharmD is a Doctor of Pharmacy providing patient-centered pharmacy services at Chiricahua Health Centers. A longtime Cochise County resident, he is committed to improving access to medications and supporting the health and wellness of his community.
I believe "Health for All" is a great and noble mission. I believe this because making healthcare accessible to all provides remedy for those currently in need and prevents future health and wellness adversities. It is a privilege to be part of the Chiricahua team.
Cochise County has been home for most of Trevor’s life, and he has a deep appreciation for the people and communities of southern Arizona.
He was inspired to pursue pharmacy by his father, who has served as a pharmacist for nearly 30 years. Seeing the impact his father had on patients’ lives shaped Trevor’s desire to follow a similar path and make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of others.
At Chiricahua, he is proud to continue that legacy by helping patients access the medications and support they need to live healthier lives.
Victor Romero is a Registered Pharmacist providing patient-centered pharmacy services at Chiricahua Health Centers. With decades of experience across multiple states, he is dedicated to improving access to medications, education, and overall health outcomes for the communities he serves.
I believe in "Health for All" and the unique role Chiricahua plays in assuring that people get the healthcare they need. By breaking down barriers to healthcare such as low income, lack of transportation, cultural or language differences, and access to educational programs, Chiricahua provides a vital service to the health and well-being of underserved populations in Southeast Arizona.
Victor was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was inspired to pursue a career in pharmacy by his uncle, who owned an independent pharmacy in Española. He admired the accessibility pharmacists have to the public and the meaningful role they play in improving patients’ lives.
After graduating from the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy, Victor went on to oversee pharmacy practice across several western states, including Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
This breadth of experience has given him a unique perspective on how pharmacists connect with patients across diverse communities. For much of the past two decades, he has served patients in Sierra Vista and takes pride in continuing to care for his local community.
