I initially went into nursing thinking that I wanted to specialize in the care of vulnerable populations, but realized–after many years in pre-hospital and critical care–that every person that comes to you is vulnerable in some way. I knew that I wanted to work for an organization that understood that it takes a dedicated and highly trained team to take care of patients. I am very passionate about being a part of the patient centered medical home where we provide patients a place to come where all members of the team take the time to truly know them.

My name is Jamie Fitzpatrick, and I am a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background. I have 13 years of experience as a pharmacy technician and have developed a deep understanding of medication management and patient care. This valuable foundation led me to pursue a career in nursing, where I spent seven years as a compassionate labor and delivery nurse, supporting expectant mothers during one of the most transformative moments in their lives.
Driven by passion for continuous learning, I embarked on an educational journey that began with an associate degree in nursing from Cochise College. Eager to expand my knowledge and impact, I went on to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. Equipped with this advanced education, I honed my skills and became a certified family nurse practitioner, specializing in providing comprehensive healthcare services to individuals across the lifespan.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, combining my extensive experience in pharmacy with my expertise in nursing. My diverse background and ongoing pursuit of knowledge makes me an asset in providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to my patients.

Throughout my life I have always had a keen interest in health sciences. The body is so amazing. I developed a passion for utilizing nutrition as a tool to enrich and enhance health and quality of life. During my education, much of my research and emphasis revolved around women’s health, specifically polycystic ovarian syndrome and disordered eating. I learned just how important it is to have a good relationship with food for both our physical and psychological wellbeing.
Following my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to participate in an internship working in various facilities throughout Cochise County and pursue my master’s degree in dietetic administration. I am honored to be a member of the Chiricahua team and am excited to continue serving this wonderful community.
