A History of Community Care in Cochise County

Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. is a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center and a tax-exempt not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1996 as a small, rural health clinic operating in a community center, Chiricahua has since grown to become the largest primary care organization in southeastern Arizona, serving more than 31,000 patients annually. Chiricahua operates fifteen fixed-site medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy clinics, and eight mobile-medical and mobile-dental units, that serve patients throughout the more than 6200 square mile borderlands of Cochise County.

Ginger Ryan Clinic Opens The Ginger Ryan Clinic, named in honor of founding CEO Jennifer Ginger Ryan, opens in January, 2006.

Children's Health Fund donation
Children's Health Fund The state-of-the-art Mobile Medical Clinic, donated by Children's Health Fund, is dedicated in November of 2009. CCHCI becomes part of CHFs national network.
Before Pediatric Center of Excellence
Pediatric Center of Excellence Abandoned 15th Street Elementary School is transferred to CCHCI by Douglas voters to serve as the future Pediatric Center of Excellence in November 2009.
