Founded in 1996, the Cliff Whetten Clinic Elfrida AZ was Chiricahua Community Health Centers’ first site, honoring one of its founding board members. Located in the Sulphur Springs Valley, this clinic delivers a full spectrum of services—including medical and dental care, behavioral health, insurance eligibility and enrollment support, and more—to families across rural Cochise County.

Our services include adult and pediatric medicine, trusted dental care, behavioral health counseling, lab testing, nutrition counseling, pharmacy services, well-woman health checks, vaccination services, and access to visiting specialists.
Our on-site laboratory operates Monday through Thursday by appointment, with hours from 7:00 AM to 11:45 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, taking a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Please note that on Thursdays the lab closes at noon.

Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. is a mission driven Federally Qualified Health Center and a tax exempt not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1996 as a small, rural health clinic operating in a community center, Chiricahua has since grown to become the largest primary care organization in southeastern Arizona, serving more than 35,000 patients annually. Chiricahua operates fifteen fixed-site medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy clinics, and five mobile-medical and mobile-dental units, that serve patients throughout the more than 6200 square mile borderlands of Cochise County.
