JOINED CCHCI IN 2007

Why I Believe in the Mission of CCHCI

Since joining the Board of Directors, I have truly become aware of how CCHCI has risen to meet the tremendous need for affordable and quality healthcare in the rural areas of Cochise county, and how we have succeeded in accomplishing our mission with compassion and distinction. Not only are the healthcare providers excellent, but we also have a leadership team with vision and a support staff that cares.

CARRIE’S BACKGROUND

During my youth, I spent many years abroad with the International Atomic Energy Agency (an independent international organization related to the United Nations system) learning about different cultures. I have earned several degrees in the field of Near Eastern Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and Berkeley, and from the University of Toronto. I also have a graduate certificate in Museum Studies from Arizona State University. Under my direction, the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum has received state and national recognition for its award-winning interactive exhibitory.

For 20 years, I worked with and directed numerous archaeological excavations and research studies in the Middle East with a focus on the cultures that existed along the Fertile Crescent to the Mediterranean littoral during the Chalcolithic Period.
