Affirm Sexual and Reproductive Health Affirm (formerly Arizona Family Health Partnership or AFHP) has been operating in Arizona as a non-profit organization since 1974.
Affirms purpose is to create a future where everyone has the trust, support, and information they need to choose what’s best for them. They make sexual and reproductive healthcare accessible to everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from.
The Arizona Community Health Workers Association (AzCHOW) was established in 2001 as a professional association of community health workers with the mission to provide a forum that informs and unites culturally diverse community health workers across all disciplines. They work to strengthen the professional development of the field through resource sharing and collaborative opportunities with community, government, health, and educational institutions.
Bisbee Coalition for the Homeless (BCH) Bisbee Coalition for the Homeless (BCH) operates an emergency shelter just off Highway 92 in Bisbee, Arizona. While the moniker suggests that it serves only those who are homeless, BCH serves anyone who may be in need, offering a wide variety of services. BCH is not just an emergency shelter, but is also a state and county recognized food pantry, as well as a Cochise County certified food kitchen. BCH provides roughly 1800 meals to those in need ranging from hot meals prepared by its staff and volunteers to food bags.
Arizona Alliance of Community Health Centers (AACHC) The Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC) is the Primary Care Association (PCA) for the State of Arizona. All states have one designated PCA to advance the expansion of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and advocate for the health care interests of the medically underserved and uninsured. Chirichaua has been an active member of the AACHC since our founding in 1996. AACHC
Canyon Vista Medical Center (CVMC) Formed in 1964, CVMC is Cochise County’s largest and most comprehensive tertiary health center. Beginning in 2014, CVMC has provided space for a Chirichaua Outreach & Enrollment Specialist to carry out insurance eligibility, enrollment and referral for uninsured/underinsured patients. Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) CPLC is the only community development corporation in Arizona that offers extensive services in both urban and rural areas. Its service delivery system is expansive enough to effectively reach thousands of low-income people. In its perpetual drive to provide needed services, CPLC continually assesses the needs of its communities throughout Arizona. Beginning in 2014, the CCHCI dental team is works with Chicanos Por La Causa to provide uninsured children in the Willcox area with dental exams and needed care.
Children’s Health Fund (CHF) Children’s Health Fund (CHF), co-founded in 1987 by singer/songwriter Paul Simon and pediatrician/child advocate Irwin Redlener, MD, is committed to providing healthcare to the nation’s most medically underserved children. Chirichaua has been a member of this national network of pediatric programs since 2008.
Douglas Association for Retarded Citizens (DARC) Douglas Association for Retarded Citizens (DARC) has provided habilitation, employment, transportation, social integration and residential services for individuals with disabilities living in the Douglas, Arizona area. Since 2011, DARC clients assemble packets that are utilized in our Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers Program, and are financially compensated for their work.
Douglas Unified School District (DUSD) Douglas Unified School District (DUSD) operates eight schools in the City of Douglas. DUSD believes that “through the combined efforts of involved parents, devoted teachers, dedicated staff and administrators, and enthusiastic students, every student can reach his or her highest potential” Chiricahua staff collaborates with DUSD in multiple ways, from working with school nurses to help children with special health care needs to leading educational sessions. In 2014, in an effort to improve our outreach to adolescents, Chirichaua established a formal agreement to allow for on-site adolescent medical care via the Mobile Medical Clinic.
Mexican Consulate The Ventanilla de Salud is a free program funded by the government of Mexico designed to assist recent immigrants in navigating U.S. health services. The primary goals are to prevent disease, promote healthy habits, and to refer for health services. Since 2010, the Mexican Consulate has participated with Chiricahua in the Ventanilla de Salud program to assist Mexican Citizens in our area to navigate the health services available in our community.

Reach Out & Read Southern Arizona (ROR) Reach Out and Read Arizona (ROR) was established in 2002 and seeks to prepares America’s youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together. Reach Out and Read Arizona trains medical providers to integrate literacy into well child visits by gifting new books to children between the ages of 6 months through 5 years. Chirichaua has been a ROR participant since 2006, and all Chirichaua pediatric sites offer this program!
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona – Hundreds of Cochise County children have never seen a dentist, and more than a quarter start kindergarten with untreated tooth decay. That’s changing with the arrival of the first Ronald McDonald Care Mobile in Arizona, partnering with Chiricahua Community Health Centers to bring dental care directly to kids in need. Funded by Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona, and Arizona Complete Health, the mobile unit visits schools across the county, providing screenings, treatments, and education to help children build healthy smiles.

University of Arizona Zuckerman College of Public Health As Arizona’s first and only accredited college of public health, the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health offers tremendous opportunities to its students for education, research and community involvement thanks to a locale rich in history, research opportunities, and university academic resources. CCHCI has received episodic funding from College of Public Health’s Rural Health Outreach Program for various binational border events.
Women Infants Children Program (WIC) The Arizona Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides nutrition education and breastfeeding support services, supplemental nutritious foods, and referrals to health and social services. WIC serves pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women; infants; and children under the age of five who are determined to be at nutritional risk. The WIC Program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. CCHCI has partnered with WIC to offer in-house services at the Pediatric Center of Excellence in Douglas since 2011.

Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. is a mission driven Federally Qualified Health Center and a tax exempt not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1996 as a small, rural health clinic operating in a community center, Chiricahua has since grown to become the largest primary care organization in southeastern Arizona, serving more than 35,000 patients annually. Chiricahua operates fifteen fixed-site medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy clinics, and five mobile-medical and mobile-dental units, that serve patients throughout the more than 6200 square mile borderlands of Cochise County.
