Sherri Arenas LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing patient-centered behavioral health services at Chiricahua Health Centers. With a focus on whole-person care, she supports adults in improving their mental, emotional, and overall well-being.
I work at Chiricahua because of its strong mission to promote positive change in people’s lives. “Health for All” is not just about treating medical needs. To me, it means supporting the whole person, including physical, mental, social, and environmental well-being.
I strive to work as part of a team to provide solution-focused, person-centered, and evidence-based mental health services that help individuals grow stronger and healthier.
Sherri was born and raised in Illinois and, as a military spouse for over 23 years, experienced life in many communities before settling in Arizona in 2006.
After her children were grown, she returned to school to pursue her passion for counseling, earning her master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Phoenix.

Her breadth of experience allows her to meet patients where they are and provide meaningful, practical support.
Sherri uses a person-centered, solution-focused approach tailored to each individual. Her training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing, play therapy, and psychotherapy.

Founded in 1996 as a small, rural health clinic operating in a community center, Chiricahua has since grown to become the largest primary care organization in southeastern Arizona, serving more than 35,000 patients annually. Chiricahua operates fifteen fixed-site medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy clinics, and five mobile-medical and mobile-dental units, that serve patients throughout the more than 6200 square mile borderlands of Cochise County.
