WHY I BELIEVE IN THE MISSION OF CCHCI: “HEALTH FOR ALL”

Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare that allows them to enjoy life to the fullest. Nutrition, specifically, can have a large impact on our day to day life and long term health. I’m passionate about helping everyone in our community build a healthy relationship with food.

Kirsten Mellott’s Background as a Dietitian

Throughout my life I have always had a keen interest in health sciences. The body is so amazing. I developed a passion for utilizing nutrition as a tool to enrich and enhance health and quality of life. During my education, much of my research and emphasis revolved around women’s health, specifically polycystic ovarian syndrome and disordered eating. I learned just how important it is to have a good relationship with food for both our physical and psychological wellbeing.

Following my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to participate in an internship working in various facilities throughout Cochise County and pursue my master’s degree in dietetic administration. I am honored to be a member of the Chiricahua team and am excited to continue serving this wonderful community.
