Why I Believe in the Mission of CCHCI: “Health For All”

I want to work at a community health center because I’m passionate about providing accessible, compassionate care to underserved populations. I value the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health while working in a team-oriented, patient-focused environment.

Background & Approach to Care

Elizabeth was born in Mexico and immigrated to the United States at the age of 8. After spending time in Tucson, she eventually settled in Douglas, where she attended Douglas High School.

She began her healthcare journey as a registered nurse and has continued to grow her clinical experience through acute care at Chiricahua, where she built strong connections with members of the community. Her work, along with experience in corrections, has shaped her ability to provide thoughtful, compassionate care to a wide range of patients.

Elizabeth is also pursuing her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification, with the goal of expanding access to behavioral health services in the near future.

As a mother of two, she is deeply committed to giving back and making a lasting impact on both her patients and her community.
