Located next to our Sierra Vista Clinic, the Sierra Vista Behavioral Health Center opened on March 14, 2023. This center focuses on providing counseling services to our patients.
At Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. (CCHCI), we believe that mental wellness is just as important as physical health. We offer individual and family counseling for patients aged 6 and older, helping them manage a variety of common issues, diagnosed or not, including:
Ana Rebecca Toothman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing compassionate, client-centered behavioral health services at Chiricahua Health Centers. With over 30 years of experience, she supports individuals, couples, and families in navigating life’s challenges and improving emotional well-being.
For over 30 years, I have served as a counselor in a variety of settings, and I believe Chiricahua is a place where “Health for All” can truly become a reality. To me, this mission is about offering hope and healing to everyone willing to receive it.
At Chiricahua, I have seen a culture of compassion that reflects genuine care for every person in our community. It has long been my desire to work in an environment where all individuals are treated as valuable human beings, worthy of health, dignity, and care. I am proud to be part of a team committed to that purpose.
Ana brings extensive clinical experience shaped by years of supervised training and work across diverse behavioral health settings. Her background includes advanced training through the UCLA Trauma Psychiatry Program, as well as experience with Children's Hospital Los Angeles outpatient psychiatry programs.
She has also worked with organizations such as Center for Autism and Related Disorders and Pacific Clinics, gaining experience in trauma-informed care, child and family therapy, and intensive behavioral health services.
Ana continues to expand her expertise through ongoing education in child development, family systems, trauma, and relational therapy.
Ana utilizes an Integrative Systems Therapy approach, often described as a Meta Framework model. This allows her to draw from multiple evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, experiential therapy, and systems-based approaches, to provide individualized, client-centered care.

Why I Believe in the Mission of CCHCI
This organization was founded on the principle of bringing quality health care to even the most needy and vulnerable. While anyone can experience behavioral health difficulties, it is especially prevalent among those with the least access to essential resources. I love that Chiricahua can help bring these essential services to those who need it most.
More important than my career is my family. I love my wife and my five children more than anything else.
