Chiricahua is proud to have a committed, well-informed and vested Board of Directors whose members live in the communities that we serve. The majority of our Board utilizes Chiricahua healthcare services for themselves and/or their families and have gained first-hand experience of what it is like to be our patient. Our Board provides oversight for general policies and procedures, as well as guidance for short-, medium- and long-term organizational strategic planning.
I believe that one of our goals in life is to share with everyone the knowledge that we have earned during our life. As a Knight of Columbus, my commitment is with my community to help it with its necessities. Consequently, when one of the members from the Knights of Columbus invited me to be a part of CCHCI and after reading the Mission of CCHCI "Health for all" and how it is committed to expanding healthcare in Cochise County... I wanted to be part of it.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Queretaro in Queretaro, Mexico. I also have an MBA from Universidad de Guanajuato, México.
Why I Believe in the Mission of CCHCI
Since joining the Board of Directors, I have truly become aware of how CCHCI has risen to meet the tremendous need for affordable and quality healthcare in the rural areas of Cochise county, and how we have succeeded in accomplishing our mission with compassion and distinction. Not only are the healthcare providers excellent, but we also have a leadership team with vision and a support staff that cares.
For 20 years, I worked with and directed numerous archaeological excavations and research studies in the Middle East with a focus on the cultures that existed along the Fertile Crescent to the Mediterranean littoral during the Chalcolithic Period.

I believe in the mission of Health For All because every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background or geographical location, deserves access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. The pursuit of Health For All is rooted in the principles of equity, justice, and human dignity, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege reserved for the few.
