Eva Weintraub, CPNP-PC

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner JOINED CCHCI IN 2020 Why I Believe in the Mission of CCHCI

I believe in the mission of CCHCI because providing high-quality primary care to all people is a critical step towards an equitable healthcare system. Equal access to primary care can help us create a more effective, efficient, and humane healthcare system. I enjoy being a part of a team striving to provide each patient with dignified care, with a focus on education, prevention, and the health of the community as a whole.

Eva'S BACKGROUND

I love the ability to build a close relationship with children and families starting at an early age to promote long-term health. Through working in many different healthcare settings, I discovered a passion for pediatric healthcare.

I completed my Nurse Practitioner training at the Yale University School of Nursing, where I specialized in Pediatric Primary Care and Diabetes. I completed my rotations in pediatric primary care offices, diabetes clinics, school-based health centers, and the Pediatric Family Advocacy Center in New Haven, CT.

My interests additionally include work healthcare policy. My previous work has included research on the development of federal vaccine recommendations and the process of creating a city-wide Community Health Worker Coordinator in New Haven, CT.

I grew up in the Northeast and relocated to the Southwest to join the CCHCI team. I chose Arizona after falling in love with its sunsets, the incredible work that CCHCI is doing, and the unique community of Douglas. When I am not at work you can find me exploring southern AZ, running, playing with my dog, sewing, or reading!
