The mission of CCHCI aligns with my own goal of ensuring that all children in my community have access to healthcare and the ability to form habits that will lead to a full, healthy life! Every child deserves a chance, and CCHCI makes sure every child gets one. The part of our mission that speaks to me most is the statement about “building healthy communities”. True health and wellness reaches far beyond the physical body. Strong communities support healthy children! As a healthcare provider I believe that it is my duty to be an engaged member of my community and use my voice to advocate for my patients. I am excited to be a part of a team that strives to bring high-quality, comprehensive care to everyone in Cochise County regardless of their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability to pay.
I am an East Coast native who moved to Arizona for a new landscape and experience. I specifically chose Sierra Vista and CCHCI because I feel like this is a community and clinic where I can truly make a difference in children’s lives.
An eternal kid at heart, I always knew it was my calling to work with children. Throughout college I worked on an ambulance and in a hospital, trying to get as much exposure to medicine as I could. When I found nursing, and specifically the role of a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, I knew I had discovered my calling. I decided to pursue nursing because this field combines the knowledge and skills needed to diagnose patients with the empathy to consider the contexts that affect their health. Nursing is the most trust profession for a reason, and I feel honored to be part of these ranks. I enjoy primary care because I believe education and prevention are the keys to good health. I love the fact that I can watch my patients grow over time, and take an active role in their health and wellness. It is my goal to build long, strong relationships with the families I work with so that I can be a resource to them.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and traveling.
