Chiricahua Awarded Platinum Healthy Worksites Award
Five local employers have been recognized for making their worksites healthier and safer, including Cochise County.
The Healthy Arizona Worksite Award is given to businesses and organizations across the state which have made evidence-based efforts to support the health and well-being of employees and their families.
The program is a partnership between the Arizona Department of Health and local health authorities like Cochise Health & Social Services, which administers the initiative regionally.

“Did you know that in 2017 U.S. healthcare spending reached $3.3 trillion?” said Daniella Reidmiller, Cochise Health & Social Services Health Policy Manager. “With 65 percent of the U.S. adult population heading to work every week, workplaces are effective settings in which to help address individual and community health. If workers and their families improve their wellbeing, healthcare spending could potentially be lowered.”
The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program helps to provide businesses with accessible resources and information to support the creation of healthy initiatives for their employees, worksites, and the community.
